Sioux Center, Iowa — A 49-year-old Sioux Center man is facing a felony charge of domestic abuse assault after an incident last week.
Court records indicate the charge against Robert Christoper Carroll of Sioux Center stems from an incident at a Sioux Center residence last week. According to court records, an argument over money allegedly led to Carroll physically assaulting his 24-year-old son, leaving visible marks on the victim’s person. Court records indicate that father and son live in the same residence.
According to court records the elder Carroll was convicted of domestic abuse assault on two previous occasions in Sioux County, once in October, 1994, and again in November, 2009. As a result, the new charge is listed in court records as Domestic Abuse Assault, 3rd or subsequent offense, which is a Class D Felony.
