Sioux Center, Iowa — A Sioux Center woman’s vehicle was damaged after striking a JCB Telehandler on Thursday, April 28th near Sioux Center.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 3:28 pm on Thursday, 34-year-old Jon Burt of Hawarden was driving a JCB Telehandler northbound on Garfield Avenue, two miles west of Sioux Center. Sixty-six-year-old Janet Bajema was driving a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe northbound on Garfield Avenue behind Burt. According to the report, Burt began turning left onto a business driveway as Bajema attempted to pass when she struck the telehandler on the roadway.
The Hyundai received $3500 damage; the JCB was not damaged.
No injuries were reported.
