Sioux Center Woman Taken To Hospital After Accident

Sioux Center, Iowa — A Sioux Center woman was taken to a hospital after an accident on Thursday afternoon.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that 31-year-old Tracy Rozeboom of Sioux Center was driving a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on Highway 75, a mile north of Sioux Center. The report says she slowed down to turn east onto 370th Street when she was rear-ended by a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer driven by 20-year-old Nolan Vande Griend of Rock Valley, which had also been southbound on 75 behind Rozeboom.

They tell us the Sioux Center Ambulance took Rozeboom to the Sioux Center Hospital. Her injuries were described as “minor.”

The Rozeboom Jeep sustained about $3,000 in damage, and deputies say the Vande Griend Mitsubishi sustained about $10,000 in damage.

The sheriff’s office says the Sioux Center Police Department, Sioux Center Ambulance Squad, Sioux Center Fire Department and the Iowa State Patrol assisted with the response to the accident.
