Sioux County Authorities Seek Information Into Shooting Of Calf

Rock Valley, Iowa — The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a case of vandalism and trespassing that happened last week northwest of Rock Valley.

Sioux County authorities say they investigated a report of trespassing and vandalism on 280th Street, about 15-miles northwest of Rock Valley Monday morning. According to authorities, their investigation revealed that someone had illegally entered onto private property, and shot a calf in a pasture.

Deputies say the crime happened sometime between Wednesday, September 19th, and Sunday, September 23rd.

Authorities say the calf was valued at about $400.
