Two Taken To Hospital After Rock Valley Accident

Rock Valley, Iowa — Two O’Brien County women were taken to a hospital after a crash near Rock Valley on Wednesday.

According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, about 12:10 p.m., 25-year-old Riley Hasche of Luverne, Minnesota was driving a 2015 GMC Sierra westbound on Highway 18, three miles east of Rock Valley. He stopped for a vehicle ahead of him that was turning onto Goldfinch Avenue. At that time, 42-year-old Aimee Mueller of Archer was driving a 2014 Ford Focus westbound on Highway 18 behind Hasche and struck Hasche’s GMC.

The Rock Valley Ambulance Squad took Mueller and a passenger in her vehicle, 75-year-old Marietta Vander Pol of Primghar to Hegg Health Hospital in Rock Valley.

The GMC was not damaged. The Ford sustained approximately $8,000 in damage. Mueller was cited for following too closely.
