The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office reports they received a 911 call reporting an accident just south of 160th Street on Marble Avenue. That’s about a mile east of the Highway 75 and 60 junction near Le Mars.

The report says 17-year-old Tyler Kennett of Le Mars was eastbound in a 1995 Ford Ranger on 160th Street and made a right turn onto Marble Avenue. It says Kennet told law enforcement that he lost control of the vehicle and it rolled into the east ditch.

Kennett was flown to Mercy Medical Center by Mercy Air Care. The Le Mars Ambulance took a passenger, 19-year-old Troy Recker of Le Mars to Floyd Valley Hospital.

They say the Le Mars Police Department, Le Mars Fire and Rescue, Le Mars Ambulance and Mercy Air Care assisted at the scene.

The accident is still under investigation by the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office.
