Maurice, Iowa — Two vehicles were damaged in an accident at an intersection in Maurice on Tuesday, January 5th.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 6:00 pm, 33-year-old Lidia Rodriguez of Sioux Falls was driving a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan northbound on Highway 75, in Maurice. Seventy-three-year-old Russel Anderson of Omaha, Nebraska was driving a 2008 Toyota Prius southbound on Highway 75. According to the report, Rodriguez began turning left onto 470th Street where Anderson struck Rodriguez in the intersection.
The Dodge received $10,000 damage; the Toyota received $5,000 damage.
No injuries were reported
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Maurice Fire Department, Maurice First Responders and Sioux Center Ambulance.
