Two Vehicle Accident In Orange City

orange city alton police oc pd ocpdOrange City, Iowa — Two vehicles were damaged in an accident on Saturday, February 6th in Orange City.

The Orange City Police Department reports that at about 7:24 pm on Saturday, 25-year-old Eva Nevarez Sanchez of Sibley was driving a 2014 Kia Sorento northbound on Albany Place southeast in Orange City. Twenty-eight-year-old Emmanuel Casas of Rock Valley was driving a 2005 Ford Focus northbound on Albany Place southeast behind Nevarez Sanchez. According to the report, Casas was trying to get Nevarez Sanchez to pull over, Casas passed Nevarez Sanchez and pulled in front of the Kia too soon, causing a collision. Casas was upset with Nevarez Sanchez because she was his girlfriend and she had another man with her. Nevarez Sanchez was upset with Casas because she didn’t want anything to do with him anymore.

The Kia received $1500 damage. The Ford received $1000 damage.

No injuries were reported
