Two Vehicle Accident In Rock Valley

siouxsheriff2Rock Valley, Iowa — Two vehicles, a wagon, and a mailbox were damaged in an accident on Friday, October 23rd in Rock Valley.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 9:03 am, 17-year-old Treyton Vander Waal of Sheldon was driving a 2005 Ford F250 pulling and EZ Flow gravity flow wagon loaded with corn northbound on 19th Avenue in Rock Valley. Two parked vehicles, a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice owned by Jeffrey Broek of Rock Valley, and a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe Police vehicle, owned by the City of Rock Valley were each parked along 19th Avenue. According to the report, the wagon became detached from the Ford, and struck the Caprice, the Tahoe, and a cement mailbox enclosure.

The Tahoe received $4000 damage; the Caprice received $1000 damage. The wagon received $300 damage. The mailbox received $150 damage.

No injuries were reported.
