Doon, Iowa — Two vehicles were damaged in an accident on Tuesday, December 15th near Doon.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 5:15 pm, 43-year-old of Doon was driving a 2013 Mini Cooper eastbound on S 2nd Street. Forty-seven-year-old Sharla Tuburgen of Doon was driving a 2009 Buick Lucerne northbound on Barton Avenue. According to the report, Van Beek stopped for the four way stop sign at the intersection while Tubergen was still south of the intersection. Van Beek began traveling through the intersection when Tuburgen struck her.
The Mini Cooper received $3500 damage. The Buick received $1200 damage.
No injuries were reported
