Doon, Iowa — A Doon woman’s vehicle was damaged after hitting a cow on Thursday, Septbember 10th.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 8:20 pm on Thursday, 84-year-old Bertha Hoekstra was driving a 2008 Buick Lucerne westbound on 260th Street, east of Doon, near the intersection of 260th and Grant Avenue. According to the report, Hoekstra struck a cow on the roadway.
The Buick received $1500 damage.
No injuries were reported.
