Larchwood, Iowa — Two vehicles were damaged in an accident near Larchwood on Monday February 29th.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that 37-year-old Friederike Gedge of Brandon, South Dakota was driving a 2007 Buick Terraza southbound on Highway 9. Sixty-nine-year-old Mary Giles of Larchwood was driving a 2003 Toyota Corolla and turning south onto Highway 9 from Grand Falls Boulevard. According to the report, Gedge was unable to stop and struck the minivan.
The Buick received $3000 damage; the Toyota received $10,000 damage.
No injuries were reported.
The Larchwood Fire Department and Larchwood Emergency Medical Services units assisted the Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies at the scene.
