UPDATE: Merry Money Is Sold Out

Sheldon, Iowa — They started at 7:00 this morning with $125-thousand in Merry Money, and all of it was sold shortly before 2:00 this afternoon.

The Sheldon Merry Money is a cooperative promotion between the SCDC, the Sheldon banks, and participating Sheldon merchants. Merry Money was sold at a 10-percent discount, and must be spent at participating Sheldon businesses by December 24th.

Sheldon, Iowa — Voters will be going to the polls Tuesday in the mid-term election. Sheldon voters will also have the opportunity to pick up some Merry Money before they leave their voting location.

Each year, the Sheldon Chamber & Development Corporation partner with the Sheldon banks, and Sheldon’s merchants in making Merry Money available to shoppers, at a 10-percent savings. Sheldon Chamber Director Shanelle Matus tells us more.

Matus says you can pick up your Merry Money while at the Community Services Center to vote, and not have to make a special trip.

She says there is a time limit in which you must spend your Merry Money.

Sheldon Merry Money is on sale at the Sheldon Community Services Center, and will be offered until 7:00 this evening, unless they sell out of their $125-thousand in Merry Money prior to that time.
