Sheldon Police Officers Take Two Theft Reports, Make Three Arrests

Sheldon, Iowa — In the latest from the Sheldon Police Department:
Sheldon officers took the report of a theft in the 500 block of Third Avenue. Stolen from the driveway of that location were keys to both a 2000 and a 1998 Ford Taurus SE. Also the dome lights to both cars were taken as well. The theft is thought to have taken place on Thursday evening, July 10th or on Friday, July 11th before 1:25 PM. Officers noted no forcible entry.
Sheldon officers are also investigating the report of a theft that allegedly occurred sometime between Friday, July 11th and Monday, July 14th in the 1600 block of Park Street. Missing was a push button 4-wheel drive switch off of a 1997 Chevy S10 Blazer.
In other news from Sheldon Police, officers arrested 44-year-old Lucinda LeFrancis of Sheldon on Sunday, July 13th. She was charged with simple domestic abuse assault. She was taken into custody and was transported to jail in Primghar.
Early on Tuesday, July 15th, Sheldon officers arrested 70-year-old Burton Johnson of Sheldon on a charge of simple assault. He was taken into custody and was transported to jail in Primghar.
The Sheldon Police also arrested 19-year-old Beau Mason of Sheldon. He was arrested on a warrant for an original charge of possession of marijuana. The arrest happened on Monday mid-morning. Mason was taken into custody and was transported to jail in Primghar.
