Sioux County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Two In Separate Incidents

Orange City, Iowa — The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two individuals recently in separate cases, one on drug-related charges and one on assault charges.Sioux Sheriff Car 84-

They report that on Tuesday, August 19, about 10:00 PM, they arrested 20-year-old Todd Palmquist of Windom, Minnesota.

The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop that occurred at the intersection of Highway 60 and 420th Street, two miles south of Hospers.

Upon further investigation the deputy discovered that Palmquist, a passenger in the vehicle, was in possession of a controlled substance.

Palmquist was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Then on Wednesday, August 20, about 2:25 AM, deputies investigated a report of a disturbance that occurred at a farm location east of Maurice.

Upon further investigation deputies determined that 18-year-old John Carr of Sioux Center had allegedly assaulted a family member, destroyed property and assaulted another person.

Carr was arrested and charged with domestic assault, criminal mischief and assault.
