Accidental Gunshot Victim Recovering

Little Rock AmbulanceLittle Rock, Iowa — A Little Rock man is recovering from an accidental gunshot wound after an incident early on Sunday morning, April 23, 2017.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says their deputies and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation are currently investigating the report of an accidental discharge of a firearm at 308 Clothier Street in Little Rock. It apparently happened at about 1:35 a.m.

They report that 36-year-old Joseph Michael Pedersen suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley by the Little Rock Ambulance. They say he was then flown to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls where at last report he was recovering.
