All American Blood Drive To Be Monday In Sheldon; Blood In High Need

Date posted - June 14, 2013

Community Blood Bank (2)Sheldon, Iowa — The SCDC, KIWA Radio, and The Community Blood Bank are hosting an “All American” blood drive on Monday at the Sheldon Community Services Building.

Ken VerSteeg with the Community Blood Bank says that with unexpected high usage at the beginning of June, blood supplies are at very low levels.

He says all blood types are in immediate need.

According to VerSteeg, the All American Blood Drive is a great tool for them.

He says that the blood that is donated with Community Blood Bank is from your friends and neighbors in this region. He says they are grateful for the opportunity to serve Sheldon area patients.

Community Blood Bank has been the sole provider of blood and blood product for Sanford Sheldon Medical Center for over 12 years.

To schedule an appointment or for more information call the Sheldon Chamber on Monday at 324-2813. Walk-ins are welcome.

The drive is Monday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Sheldon’s Community Services Center.
