Alleged Illegal Alien Charged With Felony Identity Theft

Hospers, Iowa — An alleged illegal alien has been arrested on felony identity theft and fraud charges.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Saturday, September 15, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office received a report that someone was using a false name to maintain employment at a farming operation near Hospers.
Upon further investigation it was found that 31- Israel Trejo-Olmedo of Sioux Center was using the identity of another person to maintain his employment. Deputies located and arrested Trejo-Olmedo on Friday, September 21 in Rock Valley, for identity theft, a class D felony and fraudulent practices, a class C felony.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Rock Valley Police Department.
