Application Process For Iowa Individual Disaster Assistance Grant Program Is Open

O’Brien County, Iowa — The application process for the Iowa Individual Disaster Assistance Grant Program is open.

According to O’Brien County Emegency Management, the Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc. office located in Primghar will be overseeing the submission of applications for individuals located within O’Brien County.

Individuals have until November 5, 2018 to complete and submit their application with the Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc. office, and until January 21, 2019 to complete the projects that they have identified in their application. Case management services will be available until March 20, 2019.

You’re asked to please contact the Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc. office before traveling to Primghar, to set up a time to meet and review your application. Individuals that complete an application will also need to provide a document that shows the past 30-days worth of income, as well as your Social Security card.

The Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program is income-threshold based. There are other programs available that may provide some assistance to homes impacted by the flash flood.
