Archer Man Behind Bars In Lyon County On Felony Burglary Charge

Ashton, Iowa — An Archer man is behind bars on felony burglary charges in Lyon County.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that they arrested 41-year-old Marco Cabanas of Archer in late May. He has been charged with Second Degree Burglary and Assault. Burglary in the second degree is a class “C” felony.
The arrest stems from an incident that took place in the 2400 block of Marsh Ave during the early morning hours of May 28th. That address is about five miles west of the southwest corner of Ashton, but in Lyon County.
Cabanas is currently being held in the Lyon County jail on $10,000 bond.
According to Iowa Code if convicted, Cabanas could face up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
