Archer, Iowa — DK Plastics in Archer has announced an expansion project for their Archer manufacturing business.
Scott DeKok of DK Plastics tells KIWA they’re going to be expanding their location on Main Street in Archer.
DeKok says the new facility will be used mostly as cold storage.
He says the company is looking for a couple of staff members now, and will need more once the new building is completed.
DeKok says although the company already owns property adjacent to their current location, but the expansion required the acquisition of another parcel of land.
DeKok says they hope to have the new building up and in use by the end of this summer. He says before dirt work and construction can begin on the site an old building must be demolished. He says the plan is to begin that work as soon as the frost is out this spring.
