Northwest Iowa — The Northwest Iowa Chapter of an outdoor ministry designed to get kids involved in outdoor activities with a Christian perspective, has donated funds to four area trap shooting clubs.
Nick Shaffer of May City is a Board Member of the Northwest Iowa Chapter of Total Outdoorsmen, and he says the money donated to the four clubs was raised from the group’s 1st annual banquet, which was held in August of last year.
Shaffer says the funds were donated to youth trap shooting clubs in Sheldon, Sibley, the Iowa Great Lakes, and Estherville. Funds were also donated to the Iowa Heritage Foundation supporting the Reeds Run restoration project.
He say Total Outdoorsmen is a non-denominational ministry with a vision focusing on God’s creation to come alongside men and walk with them in becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Shaffer says the Total Outdoorsmen 2017 banquet is scheduled for August 26th in Hartley.
