Ashton Man Charged In Series of Primghar Burglaries

O'BrienSheriff obriensheriff O'Brien SheriffPrimghar, Iowa — An Ashton man is behind bars, accused of carrying out three burglaries in Primghar this past spring and summer.

According to the O’Brien County Sheriff’s office, the Primghar Pizza Ranch and Primghar Public Library reported on May 15, 2012 and the Pizza Ranch again on June 26, 2012 that their premises had been burglarized.

Twenty-year-old Matthew Schoneman of Ashton was charged with 3 counts of Burglary in the 3rd degree, a Class D felony, 3 counts of Theft in the 5th degree, a simple misdemeanor, and 2 counts of Criminal Mischief in the 5th degree, a simple misdemeanor.

His bond was set at $5,000 and Schoneman was being held in the O’Brien County jail. He will appear in District Court at a later date.
