Ashton, Iowa — Next in line in the summer celebration schedule is the town of Ashton. Ashton Town and Country Days are this Friday, August 19th and Saturday, August 20th.
We talked to one of the people putting the event together — Kevin Ommen. He tells us what’s going on on Friday night.
Ommen highlights some Saturday activities.
Ommen says there is a 40-team limit for the bean bag tournament, and you can call 712-461-0978 to pre-register. He says you can pre-register for the cook-off by calling him at 712-461-0828. Ommen suggests you come early if you want to participate in either of those events. He says there are cash prizes for the cook-off.
