Little Rock, Iowa — An Arnolds Park woman was taken to the hospital after an accident near Little Rock on Sunday, October 11, 2015.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that shortly before 10:15 AM, 73-year-old Coletta Hughes of Arnolds Park was driving a 2006 Buick Lucerne westbound on Highway 9, four miles west of Little Rock near Kiwi Avenue.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that Hughes fell asleep and when she woke up she over corrected, lost control, and entered the north ditch where the vehicle rolled before coming to rest on its wheels.
Hughes was taken to Sanford Rock Rapids Hospital.
The Buick received about $5000 in damages.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Department says the Little Rock Ambulance and the Little Rock Fire Department assisted them.
