Back To School Time Is Just Around The Corner

schoolNorthwest Iowa — Whether the kids like it or not, it will soon be back to school time in northwest Iowa.  In fact, registration has already begun, or soon will, at schools around the area.

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn and Central Lyon Community Schools have already held their registration for the 2016-17 school year.  At H-M-S, registration was held Tuesday and Wednesday this week, while registration day was yesterday (Thursday, July 28th), for Central Lyon.

Some other area schools systems will be holding registration for the 2016-17 school year over the next week.  Trinity Christian at Hull will have registration on Monday, August 1st, students in the Sibley-Ocheyedan School District will have to register Tuesday, August 2nd, from 10 am to 7 pm, or Wednesday, August 3rd, from 8 am to 4:30 pm, in Rock Valley, registration day is Thursday, August 4th.

The second week of August will find registration days  for South O’Brien Schools (August 8th), George-Little Rock (August 8th and 9th), Unity Christian (August 9th), Boyden-Hull (August 9th & 10th), and MOC-Floyd Valley (August 10th).

Sheldon Community Schools will hold registration on Thursday, August 11th, Monday August 15th, and Tuesday August 16th.  Western Christian students will register August 14th, with West Lyon registrations, which are handled by mail, due by August 17th.

Classes will start August 23rd at Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, Trinity Christian, Sibley-Ocheyedan, Rock Valley, South O’Brien, George-Little Rock, Unity Christian, Boyden Hull, and West Lyon.  Students in the Sheldon, Central Lyon, and MOC-Floyd Valley districts will be headed back to class on August 24th, with Western Christian starting school for the year on August 29th.
