Blood Drive At Citizens State Bank In Sheldon Canceled

Sheldon, Iowa — The already tight blood supply is going to have to stretch even a little further, with the cancelation of a blood drive in Sheldon.

Community Blood Bank Executive Director Ken VerSteeg says the issue is with the bloodmobile.

He says it’s unfortunate because the blood supply remains low after weather issues cancelled a number of blood drives, and they’re still “playing catch up.” However, VerSteeg wants people to know that they won’t have to wait too long or travel too far to have another opportunity to donate blood.

He says community members are invited to give blood, and walk-ins are welcome. Find more information at cbblifeblood.org. The blood drive at Citizen’s State Bank will hopefully be rescheduled as well. No new date has been set at this time.
