Boyden Man’s Car Damaged In George Area Accident

On Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at approximately 5:49 p.m. the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office investigated a single vehicle accident southwest of George on A-52. Michael Wolkow, age 39, of Boyden, IA was driving a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix eastbound on A-52 when he drove off the side of the road and struck the southwest guardrail of a bridge. The vehicle then crossed over the roadway and struck the north side of the bridge before becoming disabled on the north shoulder of A-52. The Pontiac sustained approximately $9,000.00 in damages. The bridge, owned by Lyon County received approximately $1,000.00 in damages.
