Boyden Woman’s Car Damaged In Car-Deer Accident Near George

Rural George, Iowa — On December 1st, at about 5:40 P.M., 29-year-old Michelle VerMeer of Boyden was driving a 2006 Pontiac G6 westbound on County road A-52 just east of Jay Avenue, about four miles south-southeast of George.
A deer exited the north ditch, ran onto the roadway, and in front of the car. VerMeer was unable to avoid striking the deer. The vehicle sustained approximately $4,000 in damage.
