Car Deer Accident Near Doon Damages Melvin Woman’s Car

Doon, Iowa — On December 1, 2012 at about 6:08 p.m. the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office investigated a one vehicle accident one mile east of Doon on 260th Street. Darci Tiedemann, 24, of Melvin, IA was traveling west on 260th Street when a deer entered the roadway. Tiedemann was unable to avoid the deer and her vehicle collided with the deer.
Tiedemann’s vehicle, a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix, sustained approximately $2,500.00 in damages. Tiedemann was uninjured in the accident.
