Car Driven By Rock Rapids Man Totaled Near Alvord

Alvord, Iowa — On Friday (1/11) at 5:30 P.M., Robert Olson, age 25 of Rock Rapids was driving his 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix northbound on Garfield Avenue, approaching 210th Street. That’s K42 and A34, three and a half miles east of Alvord.
Due to the heavy fog he did not realize he was at the intersection and went through it. When he hit the gravel on the north side of the intersection, he lost control of the vehicle, which spun around twice and entered the east ditch.
Olson was uninjured, but the vehicle was a total loss. Damage amount done to his Pontiac Grand Prix was $3,000.
