Car Driven By South Dakota Woman Damaged In Icy Accident

Ice SignLarchwood, Iowa — A South Dakota woman’s car was damaged in an accident between Inwood and Larchwood on Sunday (1/27)

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 10:15 AM, 56-year-old Monica Wepking of Avon, South Dakota, was driving a 1994 Chrysler Concorde north on Highway 182 about a quarter mile south of 190th Street.

Due to the icy road conditions, Wepking lost control of her vehicle.

It spun 180 degrees and the driver side portion of the vehicle hit a guardrail.

The vehicle sustained approximately $2,000 in damages.
