Cherokee Teen Uninjured in Jack-Knife

sioux county sheriff emblemAlton, Iowa — A Cherokee teen escaped injury after his truck and trailer jack-knifed near Alton on Saturday morning.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that just after 8:30 am on Saturday, 19-year-old Jeremiah Anderson of Cherokee was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado pulling a livestock trailer eastbound on Highway 10, half of a mile east of Alton. According to the report, Anderson lost control of the pickup, entered the north ditch, and the trailer jack‐knifed in the ditch.

The Silverado received $10,000 damage.

No injuries were reported.
