Hospers Man Arrested After Incident In Hospers

Hospers, Iowa — A Hospers man has been arrested on two charges after an early morning incident.

On Sunday, November 18, about 3:45 AM, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a domestic disturbance that occurred at a residence in Hospers.

Upon further investigation, deputies discovered 23-year-old Gary Hovey of Hospers had assaulted a family member. It was determined that Hovey had driven to the victim’s residence prior to the disturbance while having a suspended driver’s license.

Hovey was arrested for domestic assault, a serious misdemeanor and driving while license suspended, a
simple misdemeanor.
