Inwood Woman’s Car Damaged In Accident On 18 Near SD Border

Inwood, Iowa — On 1/4/2013 at approximately 12:20 PM, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office investigated a one-vehicle accident 3/4 mile west of Able Avenue on Highway 18 near the Iowa/South Dakota border. The driver, Emily Zomer, age 24, from Inwood lost control of her vehicle while going around a curve on Highway 18. The vehicle entered the north ditch, traveled 550 feet before coming to rest in the woods. Zomer’s 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix received approximately $4,500.00 in damage. Zomer and her child were not injured in the accident.
