Man Loses Control of Vehicle, Ends Up in Field

Sioux Sheriff 84-8 FacebookSioux Center, Iowa — A Sioux Center man’s vehicle was damaged after he lost control of it and ended up in a field on Tuesday, November 17th near Sioux Center.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 6:01 am on Tuesday, 23-year-old Rogelio Chavez-Martin of Sioux Center was driving a 2003 Honda Accord eastbound on 400th Street, 1 mile east of Sioux Center. According to the report, Chavez-Martin lost control of his vehicle, entered the north ditch and continued into a farm field where the vehicle came to a stop.

The Honda received $3,000 damage.

No injuries were reported.

Chavez‐Martin was cited with charges of operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license and failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
