Man Taken To Hospital After Ashton Accident

Ashton, Iowa — A man from Omaha was taken to a hospital after an accident on Wednesday, November 20th near Ashton.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 7:50 p.m., 30-year-old Ulises Dimayuga-Jacinto of Omaha, Nebraska was driving a 2001 Chevy Silverado southbound on Highway 60, about a half mile north of Ashton, when he encountered a slick area on top of a bridge which caused him to lose control of the vehicle. The report says Dimayuga-Jacinto then over-corrected and the pickup went towards the ditch. As the vehicle went into the ditch it rolled again and came to rest on its hood.

The Sibley Ambulance took Dimayuga-Jacinto to the Osceola Community Hospital.

The Silverado received approximately $5,000 in damage.

Dimayuga-Jacinto was cited on charges of Failure to Maintain Control and No Valid Driver’s License.
