Orange City Woman Transferred To Sioux City Hospital After Wednesday Crash

AccidentGeneric 2Orange City, Iowa — An Orange City woman was transferred to a Sioux City hospital following a 2-vehicle crash near Orange City yesterday afternoon, January 25th.

According to Sioux County authorities, the crash happened shortly after 3:20 yesterday afternoon, when a 2006 Dodge Caravan, driven by 39-year old Rebecca Breaman, of Orange City, was eastbound on 400th Street, about 3 miles north of Orange City.  Deputies say Breaman lost control of her minivan, entered the westbound lane, and struck a 2003 International feed truck, driven by 31-year old Michael Postma, of Ireton.

According to the report, Breaman was transported by the Orange City Ambulance to the Orange City Hospital for treatment of her injuries. She was later transported by the Orange City Ambulance to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.

Deputies estimate the damage to each vehicle at about $7,500.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Orange City Fire Department, Orange City Ambulance, and the Iowa State Patrol.

Authorities say the accident remains under investigation.
