Paullina Police Just Now Release Report Of Six People Being Arrested On Drug Charges In Paullina

Paullina, Iowa — On Wednesday, May 16th, 2012, as part of an ongoing investigation, the Paullina Police Department applied for and was granted search warrants.

That evening, with the assistance of the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office and the Sutherland Police Department, a search was begun at 317 South Maple Street in Paullina.

As a result of the warrants, items were removed from the house which matched the description of property reported as stolen from local residents late last year in a continuing burglary investigation. Additionally, evidence was found and seized which pertained to the manufacture, possession and use of marijuana.

Six individuals who were present and living at the residence were detained and subsequently arrested and transported to the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar:

- Nathan Oldenkamp on Manufacture of a Controlled Substance- Marijuana, Possession of Controlled Substance- Marijuana, Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

- Hannah Garza on Manufacture of a Controlled Substance- Marijuana, Possession of Controlled Substance- Marijuana, Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

- Jeffery Oldenkamp on Possession of Controlled Substance- Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

- Courtney Banut on Possession of Controlled Substance- Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

- Johnathan Oldenkamp on Possession of Controlled Substance- Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Stolen Property;

- Tyler St. Pierre on Manufacture of a Controlled Substance- Marijuana, Possession of Controlled Substance- Marijuana, Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Alcohol Under Legal Age.

Based on information and evidence gathered at the scene, an arrest warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance- Marijuana was issued on Arturo Casillas, another resident of the house not present at the time of the search. He was subsequently arrested on the warrant on May 23rd.

The charges of Manufacture of a Controlled Substance- Marijuana and Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp are class D felonies. Possession of Controlled Substance- Marijuana and Possession of Stolen Property are serious misdemeanors, while Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Alcohol Under Legal Age are simple misdemeanors.

All individuals had an Initial Appearance before the O’Brien County Magistrate. All were later released on bond, and will have a future appearance in District Court.
