Rock Rapids Woman Transported To Hospital After Tuesday Night Accident

Rock Rapids, Iowa — A Rock Rapids woman was taken to the hospital after an accident Tuesday night.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that 27-year-old Tara Fastert of Rock Rapids was southbound on Jay Avenue, northeast of Rock Rapids, when she lost control causing her pickup to enter into the east ditch. Fastert then entered back onto Jay Avenue resulting in her pickup rolling over and coming to a complete stop in the west ditch, facing north. Fastert was transported to Sanford Rock Rapids by the Lyon County Ambulance. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office was also assisted by the Rock County Sheriff’s Office and Ellsworth Fire and Rescue.
Fastert’s 2006 Chevrolet 1500 pickup received approximately $30,000.
