Spencer Man Taken To Hospital After Accident

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 7:55 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016, 69-year-old Stephen Leonard of Spencer was driving a 2002 Dodge minivan westbound on 360th Street, four miles south of Hartley. They report that 34-year-old Brady Follon of Everly was also westbound on 360th in a 1998 Chevy pickup, in front of Leonard.

The report says that Follon slowed to turn left onto Warbler Avenue, and about that time Leonard began to pass Follon. Leonard’s vehicle struck Follon’s in the driver’s side and both vehicles ended up in the southwest ditch.

A private vehicle took Leonard to the Spencer Hospital.

Leonard’s Dodge minivan sustained $5000 in damages, and Follon’s Chevy pickup sustained $3000 in damages.

Leonard was cited on a charge of passing too near an intersection.
