Three Vehicle Accident Near Sioux Center

sioux county sheriff emblemSioux Center, Iowa — Three vehicles were damaged in an accident near Sioux Center on Tuesday, September 29th.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 6:41 am on Tuesday, 20-year-old Angie Padilla was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu northbound on Highway 75, two and a half miles south of Sioux Center, and stopped for oncoming traffic before attempting a left turn onto 440th Street. Fifty-five-year-old Jack Bradshaw of Maurice was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado and stopped behind Padilla. 18-year-old Darric Wurth of Remsen was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo northbound on Highway 75 behind Bradshaw and Padilla.

According to the report, Wurth struck Bradshaw, and the impact pushed Bradshaw’s vehicle ahead and struck Padilla.

The Monte Carlo received $6,000; the Silverado received $7,000 damage. The Malibu received $3,000 damage.

Wurth and Bradshaw reported minor injuries and sought medical attention on their own.

Wurth was cited for following too close. Padilla was cited for no proof of liability insurance/accident related.
