Two Injured When Pickup Rolls

accident wordGranville, Iowa — Two people were transported to the Cherokee Hospital following a traffic accident that happened early Monday afternoon in western O’Brien County.

According to O’Brien County Sheriff’s Deputies, the accident happened about 1:20 Monday afternoon, in the 4900 mile of Nettle Avenue, east of Granville.  Deputies say 21-year old Shayla Droegmiller of Cherokee was southbound on Nettle Avenue, driving a 2003 Chevrolet S-10 pickup, when she lost control of the vehicle due to the snow and icy roadway conditions, entering the east ditch, where the truck rolled one time, coming to rest on it’s wheels.

According to authorities, Droegmiller and a passenger, 30-year old Rachel Wunder of Storm Lake, were transported to the Cherokee Hospital by Paullina aand Granville ambulances.
