Two Sheldon Accidents on Tuesday

sheldon police smallSheldon, Iowa — Two separate accidents occurred on Tuesday, January 24th in Sheldon.

The Sheldon Police Department reports that at 9:10 am on Tuesday, 38-year-old Katie Evenson of Sheldon was driving a 2016 Ford Explorer southbound on Western Avenue, in Sheldon. Fifty-six-year-old Frank Schnider of Sheldon was driving a 1998 GMC Yukon out of a private driveway. According to the report, Schnider was making a left turn onto Western Avenue, and was struck by Evenson’s Explorer.

The Ford received $6000 damage; the GMC received $1500 damage.

No injuries were reported.

The Sheldon Police Department responded to an accident at the intersection on Highway 18 and Washington Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

According to the report, 29-year-old Justin Wood of Sheldon was driving a 2016 Ford F-150 northbound on Washington Avenue. Nineteen-year-old Dillon Garrett of Sheldon was driving a 2007 Pontiac northbound on Washington Avenue, behind Wood. According to the report, Garrett ran into the back of wood.

The Ford received $1000 damage. The Pontiac received $2500 damage.

No injuries were reported.
