Two Taken To Hospital After Accident

Primghar, Iowa– A Paullina woman and a Cherokee man were taken to the hospital after an accident near Primghar.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 5:24 PM on Sunday, June 26, 2016, 50-year-old Roberta Massmann of Paullina was driving a 2011 GMC SUV westbound on B40, three miles east of Primghar. Eighty-two year-old Milton Schroder of Cherokee was southbound on L54 in a 2014 Chevy SUV.

The report says that Schroder pulled out from the stop sign and the vehicles collided. The Massmann SUV landed in the south ditch. Schroder’s SUV spun around and stopped on the roadway.

Both Massmann and Schroder were transported via ambulance to Baum Harmon Mercy Hospital.

Massmann’s GMC SUV sustained $18,000 in damages, and Schroder’s Chevy SUV sustained $20,000 in damages.

Schroder was charged with failure to yield from a stop sign.
