Two Vehicle Accident In Sheldon

sheldon police smallSheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Police Department investigated a two vehicle accident in Sheldon on Friday, September 25th.

According to the Police Department, at about 5:35 pm on Friday, 82-year-old Harold Sterk was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado northbound on 2nd Avenue in Sheldon. Fifty-four-year-old Steven Nilles was driving a 1995 Chevrolet C1500 soutbound on 2nd Avenue. The report states Sterk attempted to make a left turn from 2nd Avenue to Marietta Road and turned in front of Nilles causing Nilles to strick Sterk’s vehicle in the front right side. Sterk stated that he was looking at something and did not see Nilles.

The Colorado received $8000 damage; The C1500 received $6000 damage.

No injuries were reported
