Vehicles Driven By Inwood Man, Rock Valley Man Damaged In Accident Near Fairview

Rural Fairview, SD — On Saturday, September 7, at 11:02 a.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred at 290th Street and Beech Avenue, 10 miles northwest of Rock Valley, or a mile northwest of Fairview, SD.

Mark Dieters, age 26, of Inwood, IA was driving a 2006 John Deere 7810 farm tractor westbound on 290th Street. Lee Ysselstein, age 24, of Rock Valley was driving a 2013 Ram pickup, also westbound on 290th Street, following Dieters. As Dieters was attempting to turn left onto a farm driveway Ysselstein began passing him.

Ysselstein’s vehicle struck Dieter’s John Deere on the roadway.

No injuries were reported.

The Ram sustained approximately $6,000 in damages. The John Deere sustained an estimated $500 in damages.
