Vehicles Driven By Men From Doon, Sanborn Damaged In Accident At Lakewood Corner

Rock Rapids, Iowa — On October 2,2012 the Lyon County Sheriff’s office investigated a two vehicle accident at the intersection of US 75 and 210th Street — commonly called the “Lakewood Corner”.
At approximately 12:50 P.M., Dale Fick (age 50) of Doon and Devin Woelber (age 18) of Sanborn were traveling south on US 75 approaching the intersection of 210th Street. Fick who was traveling directly behind Woelber made contact with his vehicle as Woelber was signaling a left turn onto 210th Street.
Fick was driving a 1999 GMC Sierra that received about $200.00 damage. Woelber was driving a 1986 Oldsmobile Delta 88 that received about $1500 damage.
Both vehicles were able to leave the scene and there were no reported injuries.
