Vehicles driven by Sioux Center Man, Hull Woman, Damaged In Wednesday Accident

On Wednesday, March 21 at 3:25 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Highway 18 just west of Highway 75, two miles northwest of Hull. Daniel Mouw, age 27, of Sioux Center was driving a 2003 Ford Explorer eastbound on Highway 18. Mouw was stopped in a line of vehicles waiting to proceed toward a stop sign. Gwendalyn Van Voorst, age 46, of Hull was driving a 2003 Ford Explorer eastbound on Highway 18 following the Mouw vehicle. Van Voorst collided with the rear of Mouw’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Van Voorst’s vehicle sustained approximately $2,000 in damages. Mouw’s vehicle sustained approximately $100 in damages. Van Voorst was cited for following to close.
