Washington Man’s Car Damaged In Accident Near Larchwood

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Department investigated a one-vehicle accident that occurred On Sunday, February 26, 2012 at about 10:45 AM.

Jayson Korthuis (age 20) from Lynden, Washington was westbound on Highway 9 near Cleveland Avenue when he lost control of his 1997 Acura due to ice on the roadway. The vehicle crossed the centerline, entered the south ditch and struck a tree.

No injuries were reported and the Acura received about $4000 in damage.
